On this page are examples of work I have been involved in as a motion designer in a professional capacity as part of bigdog and more recently Murray Dare.

With Murray Dare I would be solely responsible for design the entire design process,
from concept, storyboard through to final animation and edit.
With big dog my involvement varied from project-to-project, it could be solo, or as a part of a team. In those cases it would have been my role to interpret the creative,
produce and prepare the assets to a high standard of animation were required.
Initially working with Flash and later moving on to
Google Web designer and Adobe After Effects.
Featured bigdog clients included: Barclays, Disney, Feld Entertainment, Aviva and Merial.

This was a process video for Go Communications using the Adobe Character Studio software.
I worked on the design, illustration, storyboard, final animation and edit.

Promo for connectedcheetah, illustrated, storyboarded and animated by my good self.
The connectedcheetah logo was also designed and animated by me.

This was a demo for a live project I created to demonstrate how quickly an animated character could be added to a instructional video using the Adobe Character Studio software.

AD for Beyond Academy, using stock imagery edited to Run Boy Run for social media.

Second version of ad for Beyond Academy, stock imagery edited to Run Boy Run for social media.

Cinegraphs

The Marvel cinemagraphs started off as flat images, the bulk of the work involved separating out elements of the photograph.
AfterEffects was used with puppet warping and adding particles to bring the images to life.

Additional Client Work Examples

Sparkles a character I was asked to design for Feld as part of their customer service bot.
This was test footage I created to try the character out should the client want to animate the character.

This bigdog promo I was involved in animating and editing several sequences, showing work done on for Feld Entertainment's, 'Disney on Ice' campaign. This video covers some of the campaign work I would be  involved with, mainly online banners, and some of the arena animations..

Originally animated with Adobe Flash back when Flash was king, part of a campaign for Merial's Parasite Party campaign.

Promo for a Murray Dare, animated in After Effects. I designed, storyboarded and animated.

Often working from a storyboard, I would create the graphical assets and prep them for animation. This would include matching brand guidelines and balancing what was asked for and what could be done with the technical limits. It was left to the animator to decide the flow of animation and often making suggestions for improvement and consideration for time constraints. The HTML banners ads would be built using GoogleWebdesigner and applying the banners to Studio a campaign management tool.

With this explainer video, the storyboard was already provided, my part was to take the storyboard create and prepare the assets for After Effects and animate the elements. Several changes were made on the fly due to an updating of SAP's logo. Some sequences needed to match the style of a previous video.

My involvement for this Barclays explainer video was to animate from a supplied storyboard.
I suggested adding an animatic stage as the client was unclear to how to proceed
and was unsure of how the storyboard played out.
This then led onto the final animation in After Effects

Animation from a provided storyboard, a explainer video to promote Kount and Barclays partnership in tackling fraud.Animated in After Effects.

PowerPoint and presentation design
The above video was built in PowerPoint and contains several animated sample pages,
template layouts and testimonials of some work from clients while working with bigdog design studio.
