I participated in the 2019 Science Fiction London 48-Hour Film Challenge, where our film received a special mention and has since been viewed by over 84,000 people. The challenge was to write and produce a 3-5 minute story in just 48 hours. To make it happen, we used Adobe Character Animator and After Effects. As Technical Director, I researched and prototyped to determine what was feasible within the time constraints. I was responsible for character designs, digital puppet builds, and visual effects. Animation was split between Austin Charlesworth and myself, while Gareth Sleightholme designed the set and ship. Andrew Segal created the title sequence, and the music was co-created by Gareth Sleightholme and Alex Weinle. The film was written and directed by Austin Charlesworth, with vocals from Pippa A. Stephens and Andrew Ford. Special thanks to Holly Barrat and Sarah Regan-Sleightholme for their contributions.
